
Credit Control Manager

Responsibilities
Credit Policy & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and review credit policies, credit terms, and customer credit limits
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, payment history, and project-based risk analysis
- Approve or recommend credit limits and special credit terms in alignment with business strategy
- Establish early warning indicators to minimize bad debt and credit exposure
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Monitor AR aging, DSO, overdue balances, and collection performance
- Manage collection strategies for B2B customers, including negotiation of payment plans
- Handle escalated collection cases and coordinate with Legal on disputes or delinquent accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate cash collection
Sales Partnership & Commercial Support
- Act as a business partner to Sales in customer onboarding and project-based deals
- Structure credit terms for special arrangements such as project credit, back-to-back transactions, or consignment models
- Balance sales growth with acceptable credit risk
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and present credit-related reports including AR aging, DSO, credit utilization, and bad debt provisions
- Support financial closing activities related to AR and expected credit loss (ECL)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Team & Process Management
- Lead and develop the Credit Control / AR / Collection team
- Improve credit processes, SOPs, and internal controls
- Coordinate closely with Accounting, Finance, Sales Operations, and Legal teams
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Credit Management, AR, or Finance
- Direct experience in IT Distribution, Trading, Wholesale, or large-scale B2B business is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of IT distribution business model (high volume, low margin, credit-intensive)
- Excellent financial statement and credit risk analysis skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel
- Good command of business English
