Product Engineer
Gofive
Job overview
We'll be honest with you — this is one of the most important and highest-expectation roles at Gofive, and that's because we're a company obsessed with user experience and passionate about creating world-class software. We hold this seat to an extraordinary standard. But here's what's also true: you don't need to have done this job before to be the right person for it.
What we're really looking for is someone who can't stop building — someone who has an idea in the morning and something real shipped by night, not because anyone asked, but because they can't help themselves. Someone who treats AI as a superpower, not a shortcut, and uses it to do the work of an entire team on their own. And just as important: a business head — someone who thinks past the requirement they're handed, sits with customers to find the real problem, and delivers more than anyone asked for.
At Gofive, we're a product-led, AI-first tech company transforming how over 5,000 businesses across Thailand work — from HR and payroll to sales CRM, omnichannel chat, and eTax.
A Product Engineer takes an idea all the way — Create, Design, Develop, Test, Release — with AI as their primary tool. You'll work directly alongside our COO and CEO, hear a customer problem in the morning, make it happen by the afternoon, and iterate from there. You'll cover more ground here in one year than most people do in five. If that excites you more than it scares you, this role was written for you.
Responsibilities
Build the whole thing yourself. Create, Design, Develop, Test, Release, Iterate — end to end, by yourself, with AI-first thinking at every step. From a blank screen to something live in production, you own it all.
Make AI your primary tool. This role is impossible without AI — and that's the point. You use it to design, code, and test at a speed a traditional team can't match. Not because AI is trendy, but because it lets one person do the work of a whole team.
Wear the business hat. You don't just build what you're handed — you understand the business behind it, build on the idea, and push it further. You sit with customers to find the real problem, then iterate fast toward the best solution your timeline allows — always delivering more than the requirement asked for.
Think product-first, always. Every line of code serves a real person on the other side of the screen. You start from the user's problem and work backward to the code.
Own the outcome, not the ticket. You research, decide, build, and ship — and you take full responsibility for whether it actually worked. Outcomes are yours, not just outputs.
Obsess over every detail. The micro-copy, the three-click flow that should be one, the half-second of load time. Nothing is too small if it shapes how a customer feels.
Ship, learn, iterate without ego. Release fast, watch how people use it, throw away what isn't working, and rebuild it better. Every release is a conversation with your users, not a finish line.
Move fast and figure it out. The path won't always be clear. You'll face problems no one has solved for you and tools you've never touched — and that energizes you.
Bring people with you. You build solo, but never in a silo. You communicate clearly and work fluidly with developers, designers, sales, customer success, and leadership toward one shared goal.
Do whatever it takes. There is no "that's not my job" here. If the product needs it, you find a way. The product's success is your success — and you feel that in your bones.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Extreme ownership — you treat every outcome as yours, even when it's hard
- AI-first thinking — you reach for AI instinctively to multiply what one person can do
- Product-first focus — you care about the customer's experience more than the elegance of the code
- Attention to detail — you're bothered when something is clunky, satisfied when you make it right
- Self-driven and hungry — you see what needs doing and you go do it
- A communicator and team player — you make complex ideas simple and work smoothly across functions
- Critical thinking — you question assumptions, weigh trade-offs, and back your decisions with reasoning
- Hunger to learn — you pick up new tools and ideas fast, and never stop
- Real passion — you genuinely want to build things that make customers' lives better
Nice to have — but never required:
- Prior experience writing code in any language or stack
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar)
- A strong sense for business, design, and user experience
- Familiarity with agile / scrum environments
- Ability to design or prototype in Figma or no-code tools
- Experience in SaaS, B2B software, HR tech, or CRM
