In this role, you’ll support day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and tax documentation then go one step further by mapping workflows, spotting root causes behind errors, and building smarter ways of working (Excel templates, lightweight automation, simple dashboards). You’ll also partner with teams like Sales, Procurement, and Operations to collect missing details and prevent issues at the source—so our finance process becomes faster, cleaner, and always audit-ready.
Responsibilities
Accounting Operations Support (AP/Tax): Assist in day-to-day accounting operations such as AP posting support, voucher preparation, and tax document organization (WHT/VAT) under supervision. Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Process Mapping & Root Cause Analysis: Help map current workflows (invoice, payment, documentation) and identify common error patterns or bottlenecks. Provide improvement suggestions backed by data.
Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with Sales/Procurement/Operations to collect missing information and reduce errors at the source.
Automation Exploration (Lightweight): Explore simple automation or templates (Excel/Google Sheets, Power Automate, basic Power BI) to reduce manual steps—prototype improvements.
Internal Control & Audit Readiness Support: Maintain clear documentation, checklists, and filing structure to support audit-ready processes and compliance.
Qualifications
Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related fields.
Skills: Strong Excel (Pivot, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIF), attention to detail, structured thinking.
Nice-to-have: Basic knowledge of VAT/WHT, Power BI, Power Automate, or exposure to ERP/Accounting tools.
Root Cause Thinker: Investigate mismatches in numbers/reports and identify the cause.
Process-to-Digital Mindset: See the end-to-end workflow and propose ways to shift from manual steps to scalable digital workflows.
Bottleneck Solver: Spot delays in close/reporting/approvals and drive practical fixes to speed up turnaround and reduce errors.
